Accordingly, EMS has developed EMS/Mail API for z/OS to enable automatic sending via SMTP, e.g., directly from CICS, TSO and batch programmes.

Safety first.
For security reasons (high availability), further SMTP servers can be controlled in case of possible failures. In addition, intermediate storage is possible via the EMS mail relay for security in case of a power failure.
